We published an article on neutron irradiation of living organisms.
2024.10.30QFF published an article on neutron beam bio-irradiation technology on the arXiv preprint server.
The article is a quantitative simulation analysis of neutron irradiation of living organisms using large accelerators, small accelerators, and reactor neutrons, and was co-authored with KEK (High Energy Accelerator Research Organization), JAEA (Japan Atomic Energy Agency), and Kyoto University (Graduate School of Engineering). The neutron beam is a radiation source that is used to irradiate the plant.
Neutron beams are advantageous for breeding because they can introduce small to large scale mutations without affecting the survival rate of irradiated plants and microorganisms. We hope you will find this research useful for various development issues related to climate change.
